How to disable the yourphone.exe in windows 10? 

The only problem with this app is that it keeps running in the background and uses up a substantial amount of the system’s memory. So, if you don’t require the app, the best option is to disable it by following the below methods. 

Disabling yourphone.exe in windows

Ending the yourphone.exe process on your computer will only stop the app from working until you reboot it. If you want to only stop it from automatically loading in the background when you restart your PC, you will be required to disable it with the help of your Windows Settings menu.

Right-click on the Start menu to open Windows Settings, and then press the Settings option.

Press on Privacy > Background apps in the Window Settings menu. From here, a list of apps that are capable of running in the background will be listed on your screen. Now, Locate the yourphone.exe app by scrolling through the list available on the right. Once you have found the same click the slider next to it to the Off position to disable it.

  • Then, It will open the PowerShell window in an elevated mode. Now Copy and paste the below command and click on Enter: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.YourPhone -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

Once the command execution has been completed, the yourphone.exe process will be entirely removed from your system. You will now no more see the Your phone app on your computer.

If you feel that you require the app, simply head to Microsoft Store and download and install it again.

How to repair your phone app?

In case the application in your smartphone isn’t working properly, firstly you should try to repair the application.

To repair the application on your phone, do the following steps:

  • Tap Start, and search for Your device
  • Press Right-click and press Settings/app setting
  • Open App Settings in Your smartphone
  • From the Settings option, scroll down and press Repair
