 2. Restart Your Internet Router.

Your router may be having problems communicating with your ISP or Internet Service Provider if your network connection failed the network test. This can cause a slow or unstable internet connection. You can troubleshoot this by simply restarting your wifi router.

To properly restart your wifi router, you need to locate the power cable on your router and then remove it to turn it off. Now, you are supposed to wait for 10 to15 seconds to allow the router to rest and then plug in the power cable back to your router to turn it on.

After you have restarted the router, launch the uTorrent client and try downloading the file to check if the issue on uTorrent stuck on connecting to peers is fixed.

If you are still facing the internet connection issue even after restarting your router, you should contact your ISP and let them know about the problem with their internet service.

4. Enable Firewall Exception and Port Forwarding.

If running the uTorrent client as admin on your computer did not work for you. You can simply turn on the firewall exception settings on the uTorrent client so that it would be able to bypass the firewall of your PC. Windows firewall may see the uTorrent client as a malware process and it just removes internet connection to the client.

You can follow the steps below to enable firewall exceptions on uTorrent.

  • Open Desktop on your computer and then launch the uTorrent client.
  • Now you need to click on the Options tab located at the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

Now, try to download the file on the uTorrent client to see enabling firewall exceptions on your PC has fixed the prevailing issue.

5. Enable Protocol Encryption.

It is observed sometimes your ISP or the Internet Service Provider does not allow the use of torrents due to which torrent files are unable to connect with peers. It disrupts almost any form of an attempt to connect with torrent related files.

To fix this issue, you can enable protocol encryption on the uTorrent client so that it can bypass those restrictions that have been set by your Internet Service Provider.

  • Click on the Options tab located at the navigation bar at the top of the screen in the uTorrent client
  • Now, Click on the BitTorrent tabs inside the Options menu
  • In the end, find the Protocol Encryption tab and ensure that the Outgoing option is set to Enabled.

6. Use VPN Service to Bypass Restrictions.

If you want to bypass internet restrictions set by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) then VPN services are a great way to do so. This allows your PC to connect on a different server located in another country that doesn’t restrict the use of torrent files.
